Interested in joining our committee or volunteering at the event? The American Cancer Society invites you to continue the legacy of Taste of Hope, the up-and-coming premier culinary event in the Mat-Su Valley, by serving as one of our Leadership Committee members.

Taste of Hope Leadership Committee members are passionate and influential leaders from the Mat-Su’s business and philanthropic community that serve to shape the success of the event year after year. Committee members will provide vision and leadership while bringing social and professional contacts to the event. The primary focus for the committee will be to drive revenue through the procurement of sponsorship funds and restaurant partners for Taste of Hope. Committee members will serve as ambassadors for the American Cancer Society within their personal networks and workplaces.

Leadership Committee Commitments

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Desire to advance the mission of the American Cancer Society and ensure that live-saving research continues, and innovative ideas are not lost
All committee members must achieve a $2,500 event impact. This can be done through the following: personal donations, sponsor recruitment, auction item recruitment, ticket sales, in-kind services, underwriting, and restaurant/beverage partner recruitment
Attend a majority of Taste of Hope Executive Leadership Committee meetings, virtually or in-person
Assist in recruiting additional professionals to join a Leadership Committee

PLANNING COMMITTEE

Desire to advance the mission of the American Cancer Society and ensure that live-saving research continues, and innovative ideas are not lost
Drive the success of Taste of Hope by developing exciting engagement opportunities to enhance the event experience that will help promote the American Cancer Society and its mission. This can be done through: Auction, Tasting Station, Games, Mission, and/or Marketing
Attend a majority of Taste of Hope Planning Committee meetings, virtually or in-person
Assist in recruiting additional professionals to join a Leadership Committee

Volunteer at the Event

DAY OF VOLUNTEER

Day of Event Volunteers may assist with registration, event set up/clean-up and other duties as needed. These volunteers are vital in assisting with various tasks, day of the event, to help the event run smoothly and successfully.

AUCTION & WINE DONORS NEEDED

Contributing an auction item or bottle(s) of wine to the Mat-Su Taste of Hope is a unique opportunity for a corporation or individual to make a commitment to the health and well-being of our community.

Auction Donor Recognition Benefits:

- Auction donations will be recognized on our mobile bidding platform during the event and will include a full description of the item/experience and the donor’s name.
